The Centre for Students Welfare at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) organized the TNAU Job Fair 2023 on 19th and 20th July 2023 at the Convocation Hall, TNAU, Coimbatore. The event was inaugurated by Maragatham, Dean of the Centre for Students Welfare, who expressed gratitude to the participating firms for their trust in the university. She emphasized that the curriculum is designed to meet students’ academic and career-related skills, making them well-prepared for various job opportunities.
Geethalakshmi, Vice-Chancellor of TNAU, delivered the opening address, encouraging the participating companies to continue supporting the job fair positively. She inspired the students to seek suitable employment that utilizes their acquired knowledge and talents, ensuring success in life.
Sellamuthu, the Placement Coordinator at the Centre for Students Welfare, briefed about the preparations for the job fair and its significance. Efforts were made to provide inspirational lectures to the students on creating a CV, participating in group discussions, and conducting personal interviews.
The TNAU Job Fair 2023 witnessed great success, thanks to the involvement of placement officers from constituent colleges and the faculty of CSW, including Venkitaprabu, Dr. P. Muthulakshmi, ShanmugaPriya, and Ashok Kumar. Over 30 companies and more than 700 students from various academic levels, including undergraduate and postgraduate students from all disciplines, participated in the campus placement drive.
The event also featured pre-placement talks by various companies, providing insights into the nature of jobs and company emoluments through presentations and videos. Venkitaprabu, Professor (Agrl. Extension) and Placement Coordinator at the Centre for Students Welfare, concluded the session with a vote of appreciation.
