At Dr.NGP Institute of Technology
The Department of Civil Engineering of Dr.N.G.P Institute of Technology conducted a One Day National Seminar on “Strategic Guidelines to Improve Waste Management in Construction Industry”. It was sponsored by DST – Scientific and Engineering Research Board, New Delhi on July 19th, 2019.
The Chief Guest of the function was Dr.A.R.Santhakumar, Emeritus Professor (Rtd.), Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He briefly described about the various methodologies to minimize the wastes that are created in the construction industries. He also explained the importance of waste minimization with respect to environment. Around 90 Civil Engineering Students from various Engineering colleges around TamilNadu participated and benefited through the seminar.
Earlier, Dr.P.Muthupriya, Head, Dept of Civil Engg welcomed the gathering. Dr.Nalla G Palaniswami, Chairman, KMCH delivered the presidential address and Dr.Thavamani D.Palaniswami, Secretary, Dr.N.G.P IT delivered a special address to the gathering. Dr.O.T.Buvaneswaran, CEO, KMCRET and Dr.K.Porkumaran, Principal, Dr.N.G.P IT offered felicitation. G.Ramesh Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Dr.N.G.P IT proposed the Vote of Thanks.
