KCTians develop tech that predicts customer’s opinion over a product  

The team from Kumaraguru College of Technology and KCT Business School ‘Sangili  Thalavaadam’ emerged winner at Smart India Hackathon 2019 in nodal center SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai.

The team bagged a cash prize of 1 Lakh for their innovative tech on Smart Retail Technology which they developed for one of the world’s largest conglomerate – Hindustan Unilever LTD.

The team members -Divya R – IT, Shiddharth Saran M – CSE, Surya P – CSE, Kaviarasu K – MBA, Ramkumar V – MBA, Sriram Anax – MBA are of a balanced mix of Tech geeks of KCT and business students from KCT Business School.

The mentors Vignesh Kumaresan, Kalaiselvan from Forge and Dr.Mary Cherian from KCT Business School were highly appreciated.

They developed a product to address the problem statement given by HUL which can understand customer journey and shopper emotions towards product at big retail shops so that it can help the company to forecast sales and in new product development.
