The NGP School, Kalapatti, organized an Interactive Session on Climate Change on Friday (26-04-2024).
The Guest Speaker for the day was Kumaraguru Manickavasagam a Farmpreneur of Sigma Estates, Kotagiri. Who is an IT consultant turned Farmpreneur, an esteemed environmentalist, commenced the session by illustrating the alarming impacts of climate change, emphasizing the need for immediate action.
The 60-minute session was an enlightening and informative one featuring the ‘Climate Action Hero Kumaraguru Manickavasagam who addressed the pressing environmental concerns.
The event aimed to educate about 200 students in grades 6 & 7 on the urgency of climate action and inspire collective efforts towards sustainability through organic farming.
Through engaging discussions and interactive activities, the enthusiastic students gained insights into the causes and consequences of global warming.
The session concluded with a call to action by Prakash Balasubramaniam, Co-Chair of YI Thalir, Coimbatore Chapter, encouraging participants to implement sustainable practices in their daily lives and advocate for environmental conservation within their communities.
Overall, the interactive session on climate change catalyzed raising awareness and fostering collaboration towards a more sustainable future.
