Vivekananda Institute of Management Studies (VIMS), a Stand-alone B-School, Coimbatore, organized an Expert Talk on “Finance – A Good Career Path?” for I MBA Students on Thursday.
The event held in association with CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) Yi (Young Indians) Coimbatore, to create an awareness on career opportunities in Finance.
Rajprabath of I MBA delivered welcome address. Dr. Valarmathi, Director – VIMS delivered Presidential Address and emphasized the I Year MBA Students to understand the required skill set and earning potential with respect to the Finance Domain.
CA Raghul Chandramohan, Managing Partner – GRAD & Company Coimbatore was the Resource Person for the Expert Talk. CA Raghul Chandramohan talked about the industry trends and required skills for students to opt for Finance as a Career option.
Various sub fields in Finance as career aspects were discussed such as Investment Banking, Asset Management, Financial Consulting, Taxation, Financial Modeling, Financial Markets, Merger and Acquisition , Managing Start Up Business, Due diligence etc.
He also informed career in Finance allows students to get practical experience which helps them to develop, improve the strong career foundation, knowledge of the financial sector, leadership, creativity and other talents etc.
