KASC’s Apiculture Honey Stall

Kongunadu Arts and Science College’s Diploma in Apiculture, Department of Zoology, in collaboration with Madhurum Honey and Bee Farm, jointly organized the sale of multi-flowered honey, forest honey, drumstick flower honey, figs honey, and Amla-soaked processed honey on October 11th and 12th, 2023, at the college’s conference hall. The stall was inaugurated by C. A. Vasuki, Secretary and director, Lakeshmanaswamy, Principal, and Rajeshkumar, coordinator, faculty member of the Diploma in Apiculture, with students also participating.

The proprietor of Maruthum Honey emphasized, “Our bees are never fed refined sugar, and no chemicals are used in the hives,” claiming that the produced honey is pure. He highlighted the benefits and medicinal importance of honey, emphasizing its protective qualities against various natural calamities.
