NGP’s National Conference on Emerging Technologies

Dr. N.G.P. Arts and Science College recently hosted the National Conference on “Emerging Technologies and Innovations in Service Sectors (ETISS-2023)” in collaboration with various commerce departments.

Muthuswamy, Director Academics delivered the presidential address. He emphasized the importance of staying updated with emerging technologies in service sectors.

Session-I featured Pinky Rani, Assistant Professor at Indra Gandhi University, who delivered the keynote address. She discussed the role of human creativity in driving innovations and highlighted the impact of digital currency on banking services. In addition, Central Bank of India Sitra Branch conducted a camp to open Zero Balance accounts for students during this session.

Session II featured Kayalvizhi Balasubramanian, Assistant Director of MSME-Development Institute, India. She explored MSMEs, DICs, and NGO schemes, shedding light on government support programs for budding entrepreneurs.

The valedictory session featured CA. Ragavan, a Chartered Accountant and Former Professor at the University of Madras Chepauk. He discussed incentivization for services in India, emphasizing that service taxes are typically higher than goods taxes.
