Dr. NGP Arts and Science College observed a spirited Onam celebration on August 24, 2023, reflecting the college’s cultural diversity. The festivities commenced with a Pookalam competition involving 30 teams, followed by captivating performances. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Thavamani D. Palaniswami, Secretary and witnessed the participation of Madam Mathura V. Palaniswami, Director of the Academy for Professional Development, and Professor Saravanan, Principal, along with faculty members.
The occasion featured a mesmerizing group singing performance and a traditional ‘Thiruvathirakali’ dance. A dynamic ‘Flash mob’ performance added vibrancy. Dr. Thavamani D. Palaniswami emphasized the significance of Onam and the college’s commitment to diversity through initiatives like ‘Ethnic Day’. The celebration underscored unity amid cultural diversity within the college community.
