TNAI Holds Graduation Day for Diploma and Certificate Courses in Agriculture and Horticulture

Directorate of Open and Distance Learning, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore has been offering Diploma and Certificate courses in Agriculture and Horticulture subjects through distance learning since 2005. These courses are specifically designed to empower school dropouts, the farming community, self-help groups, and unemployed youth, enabling them to pursue self-employment opportunities and develop entrepreneurial skills.

On July 11, 2023 (Tuesday) at 2:30 pm, the Graduation Day for Diploma in Agri Inputs, Other Diploma, and Certificate courses will take place at the Convocation Hall in TNAU. The event will commence with Balasubramaniam, Director of Open and Distance Learning, welcoming the gathering and delivering an introductory address about the various Open and Distance Learning Programs. He will emphasize the significance of pursuing ODL courses.

The event will feature felicitation addresses by Mohan, State President of Tamil Nadu Agricultural Input Dealers, and Sathyamoorthi, State Secretary of the Tamil Nadu Agricultural Input Dealers Association. Additionally, Balasubramani, Controller of Examinations at TNAU, and Raveendran, Director of Research at TNAU, will also deliver felicitation addresses.

Shadrach, Director (CEMCA) at the Commonwealth of Learning, Canada, will deliver a special address during the ceremony. The honorable Vice-Chancellor of TNAU, Geethalakshmi, will offer the Presidential Address.

Certificates will be awarded to the students who have successfully completed ODL Programs, and special awards will be presented to the top-ranked students by the Vice-Chancellor, chief guest, and other dignitaries in attendance. A total of more than 500 students will graduate as Diploma holders in this Graduation Day ceremony.
