RCAS has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Garuda Aerospace to establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Drone Technology. This proposed facility expected to provide training, research & development, consultancy, and maintenance & services related support on drones to students, faculty members, industries and others.
Manickam – CEO & Secretary, RCAS and Jayakumar – VP (Sales & Marketing) Garuda Aerospace signed and exchanged the MoU on behalf of their respective parties. Balasubramanian – Principal, Sabareesh – Dean-R&D, Suresh – Dean-Science and Umamaheswari – Professor & Head, Department of Physics were present on the occasion.
The CEO of RCAS said that the industry and institute will work in tandem to actively engage in the research and development activities towards the Drones in societal, agriculture and journalism. The scope of operations under this new collaboration will offer a career in drone technology to the students as Drone pilots, Pilot trainers, etc.
