Department of Social Work, Hindusthan College of Arts & Science, Coimbatore in collaboration with National Institute of Social Defence, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, New Delhi organized a “Three-Day State level Training Program on Social Defence Issues” for Social Work Educators.
The Inaugural Event was held on 9th March 2023 at C V Raman Hall. The Chief Guest of the Inaugural was Geetha, District Education Officer (Private Schools) Coimbatore. She stated that students are the primary target population and it is important to inculcate good values from school age and nurture them as they are the future generation who will build a strong nation.
Ponnusamy, Principal stated the key roles to be played by the Social Work Educators in networking. Priya, Executive Secretary, Hindusthan Educational & Charitable Trust, presided over the inaugural. The vote of thanks was delivered by Punitha, Professor and Head, Department of Social Work.
