PSG College of Pharmacy hosts 16th Convocation

PSG College of Pharmacy organized the 16th graduation ceremony on Friday. L. Gopalakrishnan Managing Trustee, PSG & Sons Charities, presided over the event. While addressing the gathering he highlighted the growth of the institution that caters to providing quality education with expert faculty involved.

He emphasized the recent proceeding via MoUs, collaborations and initiatives of the Entrepreneur cell, the UBA program of adopting 5 villages, plays a vital role in the improvisation and betterment of the institution. He added, “PSG College of Pharmacy is the only institution recognized as the UBA centre by the central government.”

Chief Guest Dr. V. Bharathi Harishankar, Vice Chancellor, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore conferred the certificates to the students along with the other dignitaries.

Presenting the guest’s address, Dr. V. Bharathi Harishankar stated that the pharmacist is the best companion to the doctor. Only half the truth is expressed socially regarding the pharmaceutical major in medical science. She added, “When a prescribed medicine excels, the doctor generally gains the credit, but to narrow it down it’s the pharmacists who worked hard to bring out a successful medicine.” They turn out to be the counsellor of the patient, as most civilians approach them prior to a physician.

Ramanathan, the Principal of PSG College of Pharmacy, in the welcome note he said, “As a teacher, what we determine on you will never fail.” A special mention to the parents for their tremendous support throughout the students’ journey.

As many as 154 students received their graduation certificates, and two special awards were presented to two of the best performers of the batch. Vice Principal, HODs and faculty members were part of the event.
