For its budding doctors and civil servants, PSG IMSR arranged a special interaction with Coimbatore District Collector Dr.G.S. Sameeran IAS on Saturday.
Dr.Sameeran who belongs to the 2012 batch of Indian Administrative Service is also an MBBS graduate, obtaining his degree from Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram.
The roles he played as an administrator is diverse; he has rich experience in Land Administration, Disaster Management, Project Management, e-Governance, P.S.U management and development sector.
He shared his own journey, from MBBS to IAS. He spoke about the leadership qualities a doctor/civil-servant must have, and shared about the various opportunities that an MBBS graduate has in civil service sector. More than 200 students of the college listened to him, raised various questions and received clarifications.
