Kongunadu Arts and Science College (KASC) joined hands with ICAR Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Coimbatore National Bee Board and several organizations to conduct a seven-day Scientific Beekeeping Training Program.
Kumaravadivelu, Chief Scientist, ICAR, KVK, Coimbatore delivered a special speech. C. A. Vasuki, Secretary and Director, KASC in her address highlighted the importance of bees in our lives, and she encouraged the participants to get trained on Bee Keeping and promote this sector.
She also shared with the participants how this training can help people to become an entrepreneur. Later, she released a book entitled ‘Honey Bee Culture’ (Tamil Version). The Special invitees received copies of the book following the release.
Rangasamy from Agaram and Aaranganathar FPO, Muthusamy from Self Help Group of Karamadai and Manikandan from and Marutham Bee Farm offered felicitation. Earlier P. Gomathi, Scientist, ICAR KVK Coimbatore welcomed the gathering. At the end of the event, Prof. H. Abdul Kaffoor, Department of Botany, KASC proposed the vote of thanks.
