He said this at the inaugural of Hindusthan Hospital’s new venture ‘Dr.Diabetes Research Foundation – a Comprehensive Diabetic Center’, in the hospital premises on Friday. T.S.R. Khannaiyan, Chairman, Hindusthan Group inaugurated this new venture in the presence of Satish Prabu Executive Director at Hindusthan Hospital.
Speaking after the inaugural, Dr. Senthil Kumar said “This is not just an exclusive diabetic care center, we have established this as a Comprehensive Diabetic Center, where diabetic patients’ other complications are also given quality care.”
“For instance, when diabetes is affecting a person’s organ, say eyes, we can detect the complications in advance when the patient steps into our Comprehensive Diabetic Center, and prevent diabetes from further damaging the organ.”
“In some patients, even when they have control over diabetes, he/she may experience some eye issues. This could be due to glycemic variations. With our expertise and infrastructure, we can detect the blood sugar level accurately, monitor the glycemic index and recommend treatment for these complications, and provide quality care and longevity to the patients”
