Tamil Nadu CM holds discussion with IAS Officers

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K.Palaniswamy is holding an important discussion with IAS officers of the State today at Chief Secretariat.

40 IAS Officers who were formed into 12 groups to look after COVID-19 activities in different Districts by the Government have taken part in this meeting which is going on now.

The measures, decisions and activities to be taken up after May 3, the end of lockdown 2.0 are said to be discussed.

What sort of relaxations after lockdown could be given is also being said to be discussed according to sources.

During this meeting, CM expressed his concerns that public in some areas are violating the curfew.

They are not taking it seriously. He said that only if Corona threat is curbed during the initial stage, it can be fully contained, else it may show it ferocity like it did in prosperous economies and developed nations.

He said that people need to be very careful when they go to markets. Because that is where large number of public gather and rules get violated. He is reported to have said that he will hold a video conference with all the District Collectors on Wednesday.

The IAS Officials who have been tasked with reporting the challenges like access to grocery and essentials in Districts are expected to present their observations.

In 2 days, we shall know about which areas will get relaxation.
