Sankar & Associates and Builder’s Association of India (BAI) Signs MoU with Dr.N.G.P. Institute of Technology

The signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Dr.N.G.P. Institute of Technology and Sankar & Associates and the Builder’s Association of India (BAI) – Coimbatore Centre, an All India Association of Engineering & Construction Contractors was held recently at Dr.N.G.P. Institute of Technology, Coimbatore.

Dr. K. Porkumaran, Principal, Dr N.G.P.IT, welcomed all the dignitaries and distinguished guests, faculty members and students. The Principal emphasized on the importance of the Memorandum of Understanding. He also encouraged the students to jointly organize workshops, seminars, conferences, training programs and guest lecture for students, staff and faculty on topics of mutual interest.

Dr.ArunPalaniswami, Trustee, KMCH gives presidential address and discussed about the importance of civil engineering and new techniques in the field of civil engineering.  Dr. Thavamani D Palaniswami, Secretary, Dr.N.G.P IT and Mohan S. Gounder, Trustee, KMCH gave the felicitation address and advised the students to visit industry to learn practical knowledge.

Er.V.P.Ponnusami, Partner, Shankar & Associates, & Er.G.Ramamoorthi, Past Chairman, BAI, Coimbatore discussed about MoU that this MOU is signed to reap mutual benefits in the area of Research & Development, pursuing Higher studies & Project Work.The Companies will fill the talent gap prevailing in the construction industry through Industry-academic partnership, shall create opportunities for students to get trained for getting the real practical work exposure. The main goals are to promote coordination and cooperation between the parties for training programs, provide training to undergraduate /postgraduate students in construction practices, enhance the participation of students in technical workshops and symposia,

T.S.Ramani Sankar, Chief Architect & Senior Partner, Shankar & Associates, gave the chief guest address and provide guidance to students to execute live construction projects, improve the use of latest technology in design and development of new construction materials and techniques, exchange ideas on latest construction practices and activities through guest lectures, guest programmes, workshops and seminars for students and staffs.
