CISCO Network and NEXMOO Mobile Signs MoU With PSGiTech

Cisco Networking Academy and Nexmoo – Centre of Excellence labs was inaugurated at PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research, Neelambur, today (17.8.17).

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between PSGiTech and Nexmoo Solutions (India) Pvt with the presence of L. Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee, PSG Institutions.

  1. Sreevalsan, Head, Cisco Regional Academy Support Centre (South Zone) inaugurated CISCO Networking Academy. S. Pandiarajan, Managing Director, Nexmoo Solutions India Pvt inaugurated the PSGiTech – Nexmoo Centre of Excellence (Mobile and IoT) Ltd at the respective labs.

An institution is eligible to conduct CCNA certification courses for students by becoming an academic member of Cisco Networking Academy. CCNA comprises of four modules covering routing and switching Essentials. The duration of CCNA certification course is two semesters. Students from second and third year were enrolled in the certification program. To become a networking academy, a CISCO bundle [comprising of three routers and three switches] should be purchased. In this regard, a CISCO bundle worth Rs. 5,00,000/- (approx.) has been purchased by PSGiTech.

Nexmoo centre of Excellency is planning to conduct training programs, workshops and internships for students in Mobile application development and Internet of Things field. Students will be able to do projects under the guidance of Nexmoo personnel based on which placements of final year students would be done with the same company. A test bed worth Rs. 1,00,000/ is provided by the company which would be used in this regard.
