The PG and Research Department of Biotechnology organized an Awareness Programme for Road Safety Week on 11h January 2019 at Hindusthan College of Arts and Science Campus and Prime traffic signals in Avinashi Road. The rally was inaugurated by Sarasuwathy Khannaiyann, Managing Trustee, Hindusthan Educational & Charitable Trust and Presided by A. Ponnusamy, Principal, and T. Thilip Kumar, Vice Principal Hindusthan College of Arts and Science.
The Department students carried the Placards and Sign Boards stating the various Road Safety Rules and Regulations. As a part of the Awareness Programme Pamphlets of 10 golden road safety rules were distributed to the commuters. Nearly 300 students participated in the rally and created awareness to the Public. The Rally was convened by G. Rajalakshmi, Associate Professor and Head of Biotechnology and co-ordinated by V. Manon Mani and Sruthi Radhakrishnan, Assistant Professors and the Department Faculty Members.
