Jethro Daniel illuminates people from the Elysium

Vitae International Accounting Service Pvt.Ltd and Vivanta Surya,Coimbatore jointly hosted the 4th Jethro Daniel Memorial Lecture, recently. B.C.Kumar, GM, Vivanta Surya delivered the Welcome Address. The lecture was delivered by Daniel Victor, MD, Vitae International. This lecture was driven by the inspirational life of Jethro Daniel, the son of Daniel Victor and Lata Daniel. He was born in 1995. The boy suffered from cerebral palsy since his early days. The condition affected his mobility and speech as well. What birth limited, his parents and sister Rhoda made up by compassionate love.

Jethro was a smart boy. He was skilled in a different way. He had the will to view the world beyond its horizons. By the time he turned 4, he learned to do more than just basic communication; he learned to compose verses using the means of his shoulder, moving and pointing to alphabets. His thoughts, as years passed by, became philosophical and transcendental. The boy communicated about the very essence of life and its purpose. Through his 11 poems, Jethro shares with the world his perspectives on ‘personal ethics’ which while read acts as a catalyst, for a person to change from being self-centered to selfless.   All his poems are small in size but tall in thoughts, reminding us of the words of William Shakespeare that ‘Brevity is the soul of wit’.

On July 19, 2015, the wondrous boy bid adieu to the world. But through his father Daniel Victor, he continues to inspire the masses. Daniel Victor, who himself is a renowned author, leads the Jethro Educational Trust, Coimbatore and aspires to enrich the lives of the differently abled through educating their body and soul. Together with his wife and partnering associates, he has been serving the people with special needs with and within the community.

Through Jethro Daniel Memorial Lectures, Daniel Victor strives with optimism to inspire myriad people to be the change the world needs. In the recently held 4th Jethro Daniel Lecture which was on the Birth Anniversary of Jethro , Daniel Victor spoke on the topic  ‘Foundations of a Great Nation’. He elucidated the poems of his son which touched the virtues like Humility, Love and Honesty, principles like Mending & Work and covered the metaphysical but meticulously detailed concepts such as Creation and God.

The event also saw the release of the braille version of Daniel Victor’s ‘The Meaning of Life’ by the Chief Guest Kusumlata Malik, Vice President, National Federation of the Blind. She quoted Jethro’s word “The Mind is where the battles are fought” and wanted the able to unite for the differently abled.  During the lecture, Kodugalai Kadakaathirgal, the Tamil version of Jethro’s poetry compilation ‘Don’t Mess Around’ was released by ‘Marabin Maindhan’ Muthiah, Editor, Namadhu Nambikkai.  Through his inspiring lecture, Daniel Victor showed that the path to tranquility lies in serving the community. This Good Samaritan was aided by Vivanta Surya till the very end of the lecture. Rini Mariah, Banquet Sales Incharge, proposed the Vote of Thanks.

If a young boy of meagre physical strength could continue to strengthen the society posthumously, imagine what we all could do if we start believing in ourselves and start doing wonders selflessly!
