Dr. N. G. P Arts and Science College, the Department of Physics and Biochemistry, jointly organized an International Workshop on “SPECTRAL ANALYSIS AND DATA INTERPRETATION” recently.
The workshop brought together experts, researchers, and enthusiasts from various disciplines to delve into the intricacies of spectral analysis and its application in data interpretation across different domains. About 135 participants have participated from both in and around Tamil Nadu.
The workshop commenced with a comprehensive overview of the fundamental concepts of spectral analysis. The workshop was scheduled into three sessions and the keynote speaker for Session 1 was Dr.Sumathi, Associate Professor, Department of Biochemistry, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women. She delivered an informative session on “Nanoparticles Characterization and Interpretation.”
Session 2 was carried out by Dr. Vijayakumar, Post Doctoral Fellow, Marine College, Shandong University, Weihai, China, on the topic “Bionanotechnology, An Overview and Its Clinical Applications.”
Dr. Elangovan, Assistant Professor, Department of Energy Science, Periyar University, Salem, delivered a lecture on “Instrumental Analysis for X-Ray Diffraction and UV-Vis Spectroscopy.”
Participants gained insights into the theoretical foundations that underpin spectral analysis methodologies. Presentations and discussions delved into advanced techniques such as spectroscopy, spectral imaging, and multidimensional spectral analysis.
