PSG iTech signs MoU with L&T and IGNITE 22

The Department of Civil Engineering, with the Association of Consulting Civil Engineers, India organized the programme “MoU signing with L&T EduTech and Project Expo IGNITE’ 22” on 1st June. Dr. G Chandramohan, Principal, PSG iTech welcomed everyone, briefing about the importance of self-learning and lifelong learning for the students and faculty. He pointed out the significance of signing MoU with L&T EduTech.

Balamurugan, Manager, Product Innovation, L&T Edu Tech, stated that EduTech will act as a bridge in connecting students to every engineering domain and will provide an exposure to the real time problems.

Febin, Head, College Connect Business, L&T EduTech, gave an introductory speech to the students about the importance of Civil Engineering stream, the holistic way of realising projects, experiments and the exposure to finance and management, in addition to a brief introduction about EduTech courses offered by L&T and mentioned its advantages of taking the courses in Edu Tech. She highlighted that the courses will be handled by the field and academic experts, so that the students could get a real time experience.

Kannan, JGM & Head Concrete Management Department, L&T Construction presented the lecture “Learn core and practice concrete” and he shared his expertise in the field of concrete. He emphasized the importance of pumping of concrete, handling and production of concrete.

Following that, the Department Magazine “SCRIPTURE” Volume 5 released by the Chief Guests, and gave the awards to the winners in the project Expo “IGNITE 22”.

Finally, in the vote of thanks, Abdul Aleem, Head of the Department, Civil Engineering, thanked Management, Principal of PSG iTech, and acknowledged the efforts of organisers and student volunteers for the smooth and successful conduct of the event.
