Park Group of Institutions which is celebrating its Golden Jubilee Year has joined hands with Go4Guru Inc, an American Multinational Conglomerate to bring Dr.Don Thomas, one of NASA’s top 50 Astronauts to Coimbatore to provide a platform for young minds in Covai to interact with the astronaut on August 30 in Park Institutions Campus, Kaniyur at 10 a.m.
This interaction which aligns with NASA’s Celebration of the Golden Jubilee year of the first Moon Landing is aimed to encourage students to know more about space and take part in space related discussions.
Kayamboo Ramalingam, CEO of Go4Guru said that so far 4000 students have been taken to NASA by his company where the students received first hand details about the Astronaut’s space life. He said Dr.Don Thomas will take a 45 min question and answer session with the students who take part in this event. Around 100 students from Coimbatore, Ooty, Mettupalayam and Erode are expected.
Addressing the press, Anusha, CEO, Park Group of Institutions said that the aim is to make the students in government schools and rural areas to participate. It was announced that the entry fee for students in government schools is made free.
Dr.Don Thomas will be landing in Mumbai on 26.8.2019, he’ll address the students in Mumbai and then will address the press on 27.8.2019. From 28.8.19 to 30.8.19, he will involve in interacting with students in South India.
