ELGI Sauer Compressors Ltd, a joint venture between Elgi Equipments Ltd and Sauer Compressors Group, inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The INR 400 million investment will produce high-pressure compressors and other equipment for industrial, commercial shipping, naval, and offshore markets. The facility includes an Engineering Support Centre for global product development. The eco-friendly factory features energy-efficient systems, water recycling, and a focus on natural light and ventilation. It also utilizes recycled waste sand for construction and adheres to green building principles.
Speaking at the inauguration, Jairam Varadaraj, Managing Director, Elgi Equipments Limited said, “Looking ahead, agile operations, increased capacity, and local-for-local supply will be essential to supporting our customers, and with this world-class facility ELGI Sauer is well positioned to serve new markets and achieve long-term business goals.”
