AIRVIO Technologies inaugurates Tamilnadu’s first CNG cylinder testing unit

With the rising demand for CNG vehicles in Tamilnadu, AIRVIO Technologies has set up a new CNG/CBG cylinder testing unit in Coimbatore, the first of its kind in the state. The unit was inaugurated by Nanaware, Director Pipelines, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, and has been approved by the Petroleum & Explosives Safety Organization (PESO).

CNG is becoming increasingly popular as a cheaper and pollution-free fuel option for cars, trucks, and buses. However, CNG cylinders fitted in these vehicles must be tested for safety once every three years by approved testing agencies. Until now, vehicle users in Tamilnadu have had to send their cylinders to testing facilities in Karnataka or Kerala. With AIRVIO Technologies now operational in Tamilnadu, the time and cost involved in testing CNG cylinders can be significantly reduced for the vehicle users in the districts of Coimbatore, Erode, Salem, Krishnagiri, Nilgiris, Dindugul and all over the state.

Managed by a team of experienced professionals, the state-of-the-art testing unit has a complete set of the latest machines required for testing and painting the cylinders. According to Nanaware, the facility will be of great help to CNG vehicle users and will increase the convenience of testing the cylinders in the state. AIRVIO Technologies can test up to 70 cylinders per day, making it a significant contributor to the growth of the CNG industry in Tamilnadu.

As CNG vehicles become increasingly popular in the state, the opening of AIRVIO Technologies is a welcome development, providing much-needed infrastructure to support the growth of the industry. This new facility is a testament to Tamilnadu’s commitment to adopting cleaner and more sustainable energy options.
