Indian Science Congress Association, Coimbatore chapter and National Service Scheme of Kongunadu Arts and Science College jointly organized a workshop on the Role of NSS volunteers in Technology transfer to the Rural areas. The gathering was welcomed by Dr. R. Velmurugan, NSS Program Officer of Kongunadu Arts and Science College, Coimbatore followed by the presidential address by Principal Dr. V. Balasubramaniam.
The workshop was inaugurated R. Rani, Training Coordinator, NSS-Empanelled Training Institute, Avinashilingam University, Coimbatore. She explained the benefits of NSS and skill enhancement and knowledge dissemination for improving transfer of technology to the rural area.
The felicitation was given by CEO Dr. V. Chinnusamy who motivated the students to service in the nation. The program came to a close with ‘The vote of Thanks’ by Dr. K. Palanivel, NSS- PO.
