New Skill Development Certificate Program from KASC

The Department of Chemistry of Kongunadu Arts and Science College (KASC)has introduced a Skill Development Certificate program on ‘Instrumental Methods of Chemical Analysis’ recently.

At the introductory event, C. A.Vasuki, Secretary and Director of KASC delivered the inaugural address. She emphasized the importance of a skilled technical force and underlined that it is need of the hour to our nation.

The Chief Guest,  Sanjeev Kumar Shrivasatava , National Coordinator, Indian Science, Technology and Engineering facilities Map (I –STEM), Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru,  welcomed the skill development program launched by the college.

A press release from the college conveyed that Mr.Shrivasatava saying that I-STEM always supports skill development programmes by providing its components. It further said that he pointed out few services like Calibration services available at free of cost for academic and research institutes. They may also use software like COMSOL Multiphysics 5.6, which is available to registered users in I-STEM portal.

He added that India needs a lot of tools engineers and skilled manpower in future to fulfil the dream of ‘AatmaNirbhar Bharat and also to achieve the 5 trillion economy.

Eligibility to apply to this course is that candidates should have successfully completed their HSE (12th Std). The duration of the course is six months.
