NSS Units of Kongunadu Arts and Science College and Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Govt. Of Tamilnadu jointly organised a Deworming Campaign as a part of the National Deworming Week on Monday.
M.Lekeshmanaswamy, Principal, KASC Inaugurated the campaign and shared his thoughts on the importance of intestinal health. He urged the students to actively participate in the NSS activities and contribute to community building.
S.R. Madhan Shankar,Dean-Academics offered felicitations and expressed his views on the impact of worm infections and its implications in physical and mental wellbeing.
The Principal, Dean Academics and the NSS Programme officers distributed Albendazole tablets to students. The tablets were provided by the Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine.
Professors P.Chitra and L.Kathirvelkumaran gave an overview of the activity. The tablets were distributed to 2000 students who are below the age of 20 years by the NSS volunteers.
