Field Outreach Bureau, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Coimbatore started Phase-II for COVID-19 Awareness-Auto-Rickshaw Publicity Campaign in Tiruppur District.
The third day of the campaign was flagged-off by C.P. Radhakrishnan, Ex Member of Parliament & Ex Chairman, COIR Board Ministry of MSME at Sheriff Colony on Monday.
The various places of the district with more focus on containment and hotspot areas were covered on the day of the campaign. The campaign started from sheriff Colony and it covered various areas of the district.
It also took halt to various places viz. Corporation Office, Thadikkaran Mukku, Katharpettai, RTO North Tiruppur, Sivashakthi Nagar, Sirupoolvapatthi, 15- Velamapalayam, Chikanna College, Iyyappan Kovil and Railway Station.
The public announcement was also made by the speaker system for extensive awareness from COVID-19 throughout the campaign.
The public were informed in person by the FOB officials about taking precautions while venturing out by maintaining physical distancing & wearing face mask.
The awareness materials provided by Regional Outreach Bureau, Chennai were further distributed by the unit officials to the shop vendors, Bus-Passengers, Students, bystanders, local residents & Security guards & workers at various Institutions.
