Several media reports on Monday (Aug.24) stated that legendary playback singer S.P.Balasubrahmanyam who got affected by COVID-19, has now been tested negative for the infection. The news about his recovery has been making rounds in the web though the official word from MGM Health Center is yet to be received.
Clarifying this report, the singer’ son S.P.Charan posted a video in which he said that he is the one who gets the information about his father’s health condition from the doctors. “All updates come to me first only then I post it to media”.
As to whether SPB has been tested negative or positive, Charan said “regardless of whether it is Covid positive or negative, the status is still the same. Clinically he is on life support; on ECMO Ventilator. He is stable fortunately and we are hoping that this stability will help him recover his lungs as early as possible. Kindly refrain from rumour mongering. I will put a post this evening after I have a discussion with the doctors and medical team”
