Dr.NGP IT is categorized as ‘Band-B’ institution (rank between 26-50) in the category of ‘Private or Self-Financed College/Institute’ in Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) 2020.
The ranking was announced by the Vice President of India M.Venkaiah Naidu in the presence of HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ and various officials virtually on Tuesday.
Ministry of Education, Govt. of India has initiated ARIIA to systematically rank education institutions and universities primarily on innovation-related indicators. ARIIA considers all major indicators which are commonly used globally to rank most innovative education institutions/ universities in the world.
ARIIA primarily focuses on 6 parameters – Programs and Activities on IPR, Innovation, Start-up and Entrepreneurship; Pre Incubation & Incubation Infrastructure & Facilities to Support I&E; Annual Budget Spent on Promoting and Supporting I&E Activities; Courses on Innovation, IPR and Entrepreneurship Development, Intellectual Property (IP), Technology Transfer and Commercialization and Successful Innovation and Start-ups & Funding Innovation & start-ups
Dr.NGP IT’s accomplishments in innovation like being the finalist in Smart India Hackathon for 3 consecutive years, AICTE-SAMADHAN, Idea and PoC submissions, winning several Hackathons organized by various universities and possessing many valuable innovative patents are among the strengths of the institute to achieve this national ranking.
