Another Afro-American killed in USA

With USA seeing a massive protest against racial discrimination following the killing of George Flyod, on June 13 a 27 year old Afro-American Rayshard Brooks was killed by Police.

Rayshard (who is presumed to be drunk at the time) was asleep on a drive-thru line in a Wendy’s Hotel in Atlanta, USA.  A phone call was made to the Police, and the cops tried to remove Rayshard from there.

Video cameras in the vicinity are reported to have shown that Rayshard broke-free from the cops, took one of their TASER and ran a little distance. As police chased him, he pointed the TASER at them. One of the officers shot Rayshard and that lethal blow ended his life. Rayshard’s lawyers stated that even if he had fired the TASER (a non-lethal weapon), the cops had no right to use deadly force against him.

The killing of Rayshard triggered the emotions of the public immediately and the restaurant was burned down in anger. The names of the police officers are yet to be released by them. But what is known as of now is that both cops are white, and the one who shot Rayshard is terminated from service while the other officer is put on administrative leave.
