THGOA request Financial Support from Govt 

The Tamil Nadu Hire Goods  Owners Association has requested the Tamil Nadu Government to provide financial assistance to those who have been left without income due to the corona curfew.

 State President of the  THGOA Union S. Palanisamy, General Secretary D. Manimaran, Treasurer S. Balaraj and Organization Secretary Thanjai R.siva have stated:

The curfew in Tamil Nadu has come into effect on March 24 due to coronavirus. Many dependents are working from home. Many small, marginal workers and daily wages are unemployed by this curfew.

Tamishaga Hire Goods Owners Association (Association of Sound, Light, Genset Pandal, Furniture, Kitchen utensils and Stage Decoration Organizers throughout Tamil Nadu) has requested the Government of Tamil Nadu for funding. The industry, which hosts conferences, political conferences, government ceremonies, festivals, weddings and celebrations, has over one lakh small and large corporations across Tamil Nadu and has over one lakh families and over a million workers. Their careers have been greatly affected by the curfew announced by the Central / State Government.

Therefore, the government should give concessions to these companies and to their workers and non-workers in view of legitimate demands such as financial aid, tax incentives and credit waivers.

The petition has been sent by email to the honorouble cheif minister, Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly, Assembly members across Tamil Nadu, Parliamentarians from all over Tamil Nadu and political party leaders across Tamil Nadu. In it, the people of the industry are demanding to raise their voice in the Assembly to help and defend their livelihood.

The petition also states that the Tamizhaga Hire Goode Owners Association, along with government officials, police and sanitation staff, are working together to prevent community-based curfews.
