Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science (SRCAS) has started conducting online-classes to students during this precautionary holiday period due to Novel coronavirus outbreak.

Principal and Secretary of the college Dr.K.Karunakaran while talking to The Covai Mail said that the college has partnered with Google and through its Hangouts Meet and Google Classroom platforms the teachers are able to take classes to the students virtually and reach the students who are in their home.

For the next 15 days, the teachers will connect with the students (both parties can be anywhere). A specific time is fixed for the students to attend to the classes. The teachers will virtually hold classes, students could ask for questions and interact with them too. The presence and complete participation of the students could be monitored by the teachers. By such advanced technology, taking and listening to a class has been made easy through digital bridges by the college. The classes can be attended and taught via laptops, desktops or via mobile phones too, Dr.K.Karunakaran conveyed.

The college has 210 teachers and they will teach 540 subjects. Due to these 15-days holiday period there would not be any delay in the planned exam schedules, said Dr.K.Karunakaran.
