What’s your comment on the sudden boom of Online Media?

The future is going to be a complete digital medium. Everything is inside the mobile phone and the technology keeps changing every day. Especially the Online mediums like YouTube, Facebook, WhatsApp and Twitter are creating huge impact among the public. It has already attracted many youngsters and will create a greater opportunities in the upcoming years.

Any special advice for Visual Communication students?

Cinema industry is a huge ocean.  But the current generation is lucky enough to have so many platforms where they exploit their creative ideas and innovations. I’d personally advice the visual communication students to concentrate more on digital forum.

Did GST affect your movies “Vanamagan” & “Ivan Thanthiran”?

“Vanamagan” had a good opening and it was doing well in the first week but the GST announcement shocked all of us. “Ivan Thanthiran” received positive reviews from the critics and the public. We had only 3 days of opening and the GST took over, though it did well in the box office. I must thank the theatre owners who stood by our side on the difficult time. Their support was unbelievable.

Is Bigg Boss spoiling the view of our society’s tradition and culture?

We are more conservative about everything. I see “Bigg Boss” as a replication of our society. It talks about the ego, self esteem, backbiting, insecurity, fear, disappointment of people’s mind. It is already there in the houses of our society and we must agree the fact. We should see only the positives of the show. If people hate something, then no one can stop them from throwing it away. But, the show has become a huge hit and it means people enjoy it. So no one has to worry about it said Dhananjayan to us.
