In connection with World Stroke Day, G. Kuppusamy Naidu Memorial Hospital (GKNMH) and Rotary Club of Coimbatore Aakruthi jointly organised a Walkathon on 24.11.2019.
It was flagged off by Dr. Raghupathy Velusamy, CEO, GKNMH. The chosen path for the Walkathon was from GKNMH to Anna Statue.
The Walkathon emphasised the theme of this year’s World Stroke Day ‘Don’t be the One’. 1 in 4 people have the possibility to be affected by stroke, and so the Walkathon focused on conveying that ‘We’ shouldn’t be that ‘One’.
Doctors and Members of GKNMH and Rotarians of Aakruthi participated in spreading this awareness among public.
