PSG Institute of Management’s Marketing Stream is organizing the tenth edition of Value X– 2019, a two days sales carnival where the students hold varieties of stalls that includes Food, Games, Apparels, Fancy accessories beside stalls of sponsors are placed respectively . The carnival was inaugurated by L.Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee, PSG Institutions on 18th of October, 2019 and it is open for the public to enjoy the carnival.  The Covai Mail sat with Dr. J. Joshua Selvakumar , Associate Professor & Dr.R.Chitra, Assistant Professor, PSG IM to know more about Value X.

We learnt that every year, students who study marketing, practically experience: the intensity of selling products, interacting with customers, improve their negotiation skills, learn how to promote their sales, carry out digital marketing campaigns,  budgeting for the event and promote the product and services.

As a part of this carnival, there is a National Level Marketing Fest named Emporia 2019 which has received a staggering 500+ students participating from various colleges who are competing to be crowned as the Best Marketing Manager, Best Marketing Team and take part in following events like B-Inquizitive, Deep Dive, Digital You, AWM, Memes Speak, War of Price and Shutter Up.

The faculty of marketing stream conveyed that the college has given the opportunity to the students in organizing Emporia 2019 . Students came along with their creativity and interesting ideas for the event which is appreciated and supported by management and staff.

More than 100 students belonging to the 2nd year Marketing Stream are involved in organizing this event and running the stalls, while the first years are given the privilege of experiencing the nuances and novel practices the seniors executed in this carnival, so when their time comes to run the show, they run it with knowledge & experience.

Twin Birds has supported the event by being the title sponsor while one of the sponsors, Neydhal has taken up the responsibility of providing the entire food services for the PSG MaanavarIllam kids as a part of its CSR activity while another sponsor RKMV has come forward to give apparels to them. The carnival ends on 19th of October, 2019.
