Why you should try to drink water from Clay Pots during summer?

Summer is here and we mostly become dehydrated. Going for tender coconut during summer is a fantastic way of refreshing oneself but we ask for a bottle of chilled water or we just throw a bottle full of water in the refrigerator. Well that does quench our thirst but it surely spoils our health.

So here is the best alternative our ancestors have been using since time immemorial. Yes drinking from Clay pots does lots of wonders. For instance, water stored in clay pot becomes cool in a natural way and it does not harm our throats or affect our health in any way.

The minerals in the water from clay pots will help in metabolism. The acidity in water is also neutralized by the alkaline present in the clay pot. Most of us store water in plastic bottles that come with different soft drinks. We refrigerate them. If the water bottle you use is BPA free (Bisphenol A) , then it is less a threat for health but if it is uses Bisphenol-A, then it is hazardous to health.

Why go for that if we can store water naturally in Clay pot that does no harm at all. This summer, for your thirst, buy a clay pot.  Buying a plastic bottle is cheap, but risking your health could become expensive. By buying a pot, you are helping a poor seller on the road sides to keep his/her hope high.

One of the reasons why we have neglected buying clay pots is because if we let them slip, they break instantly. In case of plastics we don’t have to worry much. Their durability is high but it compromises the durability of your own self.

Even when you dispose a pot, it turns to sand but the same cannot be said about plastics. It takes   minimum of 200 years for a plastic bottle to degrade. Think about it. We never argue much with the guy who sells mobile phone cases for Rs.250 but we do bargain with a pot seller (including me).
