Anil Ambani who had just 1 more day in his side to save himself from facing three months jail time, has paid the debts he owed to Ericsson India. It was reported that Anil was falling short of Rs. 462 Crores and was lacking options to raise funds.
If Anil had not paid the money he owed to Ericsson on Tuesday (March 19th), the apex court would have sent him to jail. The Swedish company moved to the court when Reliance Communication had failed to pay the massive debt for operation and maintenance of the telecommunication network. The dispute started in 2017 and has now settled. As per several sources, it is learned that Ericsson’s lawyer has confirmed the receipt of the payment.
