The Department of Physics in Kongunadu Arts and Science College organized the National Science Day Celebrations (Tesla Fest 2019). It was sponsored by ISCA and it was for 3 days which included Science Exhibition, Inter- departmental and Inter-collegiate competitions and national seminar on “Science and Technology for Nation Development”. C.A. Vasuki, Secretary and Director inaugurated the Celebrations.
The national seminar featured Captain M.Ramasubramaniam, Officer in charge, Indian Naval Distributing Authority, Kochi. Devaraj, Associate Professor of Physics, Government Arts College, Coimbatore, S.K.Krishna, Asst Prof of Chemistry, Chikaiah Naicker College, Erode and Dr.Amutha, Assistant Professor of Physics, PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore as Resource Persons. The seminar gave awareness on the challenging research areas for nation development, opportunities for science graduates, role of science in food & health and importance of science & technology for nation’s development were discussed in the seminar.
