PSG Kadambari 2019- a Nectar of Music

PSG & Sons’ Charities is conducting PSG Kadambari- a four day music festival held at PSG College of Technology’s Assembly Hall. The event commenced on Jan 4th and will conclude on Jan 7th. As a pre-event activity, the students of PSG Institutions unanimously sang the classical songs that illuminated the venue with divine bliss.

Rama Kausalya, Managing Trustee, Marabu Foundation, Thiruvaiyaru was the Chief Guest. K.Chitralega, Program Head, Prasar Bharathi, All India Radio was the Guest of Honor. Dr.S.Ramalingam. Dean, PSG IMSR welcomed the gathering. He highlighted the romantic prose work Kadambari and why this specific name was chosen for the event. Kadambari is considered to be a classic literary work of romance and aesthetics.

Rama Kousalya addressed the gathering next. She expressed her joy in seeing the youngsters appreciate the classical art. She congratulated PSG Institutions for showing passion in preserving art.

During the inaugural of the event, Alla Poran Tamilan fame singer Sathya Prakash was honored with the Yuva Kala Ratna Award. Along with his team he performed several classical Carnatic hits and made the hall drench in the melodious rain of soothing music.
