Eat Street begins in Style

The 3 day (Jan4th – 6th) food fest- Eat Street began at CODISSIA grounds in a grand manner. Gracing the occasion were Dr.K.VijayaKarthikeyan, I.A.S, Corporation Commissioner, Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation and Sumit Sharan, IPS, Police Commissioner, Coimbatore. Entry fee for the event is INR 30 and the event has more than 100 stalls put up. Some of the popular stalls at the venue were Sree Milky Mist, Annapoorna Gowrishankar, Hari Bhavanam, Chandra Honda, Paaniyar biryani, Erachi Kerala, A1 chips, Aroma and many more.

One of the most important things seen at the venue was the placement of trash bins in front of each stall and the public in general was very much co-operative since there was absolutely no trash on the ground whatsoever. The event also saw a fashion, magic and juggling shows amidst the crowd. There was absolutely no plastic found on the premises and there was also an FSSAI stall set up to monitor the situation. Prices at the stalls were nominal to attract the customers to try out their dishes in this mega event.
