Life is precious for all. Every year on New Year’s Eve, many accidents take place, most of them due to human faults, marring the spirit of New Year. With an aim to establish an accident free New Year celebration this year, Coimbatore City Police had initiated a novel campaign towards sensible celebrations by creating a New Year greeting card cum advisory for two wheelers and cars towards a safe and sensible New Year’s eve.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Sujitkumar, motorists were checked at 10 vantage spots in association with Kovai Medical Centre & Hospital (KMCH) on major roads in the city to control drunken driving. Ambulances by KMCH were deployed at four major places for emergency service.
