Kumaraguru College hosts conclave on Digital India

Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts and Science (KCLAS) hosts a Conclave on ‘Transforming Businesses in Digital India’ on Monday.

Luminaries from academia, industry, and government converged for a transformative conclave which was jointly hosted by CODISSIA (The Coimbatore District Small Industries Association) and KCLAS, the conclave served as a nexus for robust discussions and strategic insights into India’s digital trajectory.

Dr. Jayanthi, Faculty, School of Management in her warm welcome address, set the stage for the dynamic exchanges ahead, extending gratitude to esteemed panelists, partners, and attendees. Dr. Vijila Edwin Kennedy, Principal of KCLAS, echoed and emphasized the pivotal role of digital transformation in fostering symbiotic industry-academia relations.

Thirugnanam, President of CODISSIA, championed adaptation and innovation in the digital age, illuminating the vast vistas of opportunity across e-commerce and fintech.

The keynote address by Dr. Deepak Mishra, Director and Chief Executive of ICRIER, New Delhi, illuminated India’s digital landscape, offering insights into the nation’s rapid strides and the imperatives for sustained growth.

There were around 200 participants from Industry & Academia to witness the Conclave.

Two riveting panels dissected critical facets of India’s digital journey, chaired by Prakash Balakrishnan and  Parandaman Velayudam, respectively. Panel I delved into assessing infrastructure, literacy, and innovation, featuring illuminating discussions by B. Raghava Srinivasan, Pavan Soni, and Dr. Prashant R. Nair.  The discourse traversed shifts in consumer behavior, AI integration, and the imperative for responsible data utilization.

Panel II navigated e-governance and regulatory frameworks, with incisive contributions from Mathew John, Muralikrishna B, and R. Rajesh Kumar. Sustainability, upskilling, and efficient supply chain management emerged as focal points, underscoring the nexus between digitalization and environmental responsibility.

Dr. N. Balu extended heartfelt gratitude to all participants, catalyzing a call for sustained collaboration and knowledge exchange. The event’s success stands as a testament to the collective commitment towards sculpting a dynamic, inclusive, and digitally empowered India.

The  whole programme  was  convened  by Dr N Balu, Dy Dean,  School of  Management, Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts and Science  and  it was  well coordinated by  Dr. G Jayanthi & Dr G Arivazhagan, Faculty, School of Management, KCLAS.
