Vivekananda Institute of Management Studies (VIMS) celebrated International Women’s Day on Friday.
Dr. Valarmathi, Director, VIMS, delivered the presidential address, expressing her well wishes on the special day. She emphasized that the focus of the celebration was not solely on women’s achievements but rather on fostering a more inclusive environment where women can thrive in the business world.
Sivasankari, Founder & Managing Director of AR 4 Tech Pvt Ltd, was the Chief Guest. She spoke about the challenges she faced as a woman entrepreneur including navigating a male-dominated field and achieving a work-life balance. However, her message was ultimately one of resilience and empowerment. She shared valuable insights on overcoming obstacles, building a strong network, and staying true to one’s vision. The celebration also included performances by students such as singing, dancing, and a skit, which added to the festive atmosphere.
