White Coat green signals aspiring doctors!

PSG Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (PSG IMSR) held the White Coat Ceremony for the Medical students of the 2021 batch on Friday.

Dr.Subba Rao, the Principal of the Institution said “The foundation course is a compulsory program for the students who join the MBBS program. It is a part of the new competency-based medical education curriculum. The white coat ceremony signifies the end of the foundation course, where, the students are now better equipped to begin their life as a medico”, via a press release.

Dr. N Sathian, President; Dr.Priya, Vice-president; Dr.Maheshwaran, Secretary of the Coimbatore subchapter of IMA and Dr.Karthik Prabhu Assistant Secretary, state chapter of the IMA distributed the white coats to the young medicos to signify the commencement of their journey as medical graduates. Dr.Vimal Kumar Govindan, Professor of Surgery administered The Oath of Hippocrates to the young Medicos.

Dr.Subba Rao paid tribute to Dr.S.Ramalingam, the late Dean of PSG IMSR and underlined that the institution misses him. He added that Dr.Ramalingam, helped change the perception of the institute at international levels through his visionary endeavours.
