The Department of B.Com of Kongunadu Arts and Science College organized an Awareness Program on Digi-locker for Two-Days recently.
Selvi, Principal ( i/c) of the college did the inauguration along with. R. Madhan Shankar, Dean, Academics and T. Jayakumar, Dean Commerce& Management, KASC.
The program was initiated by the S. Uma, Head of the Department, Faculty Members and the students of B.Com with the view to create awareness about Digi-locker among the faculty members and students in the college.
DigiLocker is a flagship initiative of Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY) under Digital India programme. DigiLocker aims at ‘Digital Empowerment’ of citizens by providing access to authentic digital documents to citizen’s digital document wallet.
The issued documents in DigiLocker system are deemed to be at par with original physical documents as per Rule 9A of the Information Technology (Preservation and Retention of Information by Intermediaries providing Digital Locker facilities) Rules, 2016.
