Hindusthan Hospital partners with CIPACA – ICU operation to become better & affordable!

CIPACA (Pvt) Ltd, a pioneer in the establishment and management of ICUs in hospitals and healthcare institutions, has tied up with one of Covai’s leading tertiary care hospitals, Hindustan Hospital.

CIPACA’s ICU operations in Hindustan Hospital was inaugurated on 2 August 2021 in the presence of Dr. Raja Amarnath, Founder and Managing Director, CIPACA, Satish Prabu, Executive Director, Hindustan Hospital and other dignitaries. The new ICU operations become operational from Monday.

As the demand for critical care services grow manifold especially after the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, Hindustan Hospitals seeks to provide affordable and quality emergency healthcare to rural people in the vicinity of Coimbatore. Hence they have roped in CIPACA for improving and managing ICU operations in the hospital.

Hindustan Hospital will be CIPACA’s 12th hospital tie-up for setting up and running ICU operations. An ICU bed may cost in the range of Rs.70,000-1 lakh per day in corporate hospitals in metro and big cities, while in tier 2 towns the cost is estimated at  Rs.40,000-60,000. With CIPACA , hospitals in small towns will be able to charge just Rs.20,000-30,000 per day for a patient who requires a ventilator. Thus, rural patients don’t have to travel for hours to accept corporate hospitals for best ICU care.

CIPACA offers a disruptive model called Drop-in ICU concept under which it requires just space and basic infrastructure in any hospital that wants to set up ICU operations. Depending on the requirements, it provides ICU equipment, ICU doctors, nurses and other manpower for ICU unit, technology and guidance, backed up by a tele-medicine network.

CIPACA runs ICU operations in more than 10 hospitals in Tamil Nadu and is in talks with a few more hospitals in other states.
