Farmers’ Union leaders to discuss Agri Laws with Central Govt. today !

With the farmers protest in Delhi going on for the sixth consecutive day at different borders, Narendra Singh Tomar, the Central Minister of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare has invited the farmers-union leaders to take part in a meeting today with the Central Govt to find solutions.

Earlier it was decided that the meeting would take place in December 3, 2020 (Thursday) but due to the prevailing cold weather and pandemic, the meeting is being held in advance, at Vigyan Bhavan Convention center, Delhi.

“Keeping in view the cold and COVID-19, we have invited leaders of farmer unions for discussion much before the scheduled December 3 meeting,” Tomar had told PTI on Monday.

This is the second time the farmers are meeting the Agri Minister. They met once on November 13 and they could not arrive at a conclusion in that seven hour long meeting. The same leaders will meet the Minister at 3 p.m. on Tuesday.  On Monday, the farmers said that they would not go back until Center meets their demand – abolish the new farm laws.
