J.Jayalalithaa’s house to be made a Memorial and CM’ Official Residence

The Madras High Court said on Wednesday that former Tamil Nadu Chief Minster and AIADMK’s Supremo Dr.J.Jayalalithaa’s Poes Garden bungalow – Veda Illam will be made the official residence of Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

A division bench of Justice Kirubakaran.N and Abdul Quaddhose declared that Nephew and Niece of J.Jayalalithaa – J.Deepak and J.Deepa, the class 2 legal heir of all her assets.

The former Chief Minister’s house in Poes Garden has been One part of Veda Illam which is a 10-Ground property will be made as a Government Memorial and the rest will converted as the official residence of CM. As of now the Chief Minster resides in Greenways Road Bungalow meant for the Ministers.

According to Financial Express, Veda Nilayam is a 24,000 sq.ft property that was purchased by Jayalalithaa’s mother Vedavalli in 1967. It was bought for Rs. 1.32 lakhs.
